TV is all around!
In Unit 5 we talked a bit about TV programs and the role of TV in our lives. Now this is your chance to bring our attention to a TV show you consider particularly interesting (for whatever reason you may have). In this activity you will write a TV program review, and it should include information about the program, summary of a typical episode and recommendations (good or bad, it's up to you). REMEMBER, when you write a paragraph, it should include only one main idea (one paragraph could be about the actors, another one about the plot, etc) This activity is due Friday Sep 25th.

One of my favourites TV programs is “the big bang theory”, it can be considered as a sitcom, however, for me, it also has many features from a TV serie.
This sitcom is about two physicists guys friends, Leonard and Sheldon, both work in a lab and share an apartment. Sheldon is the kind of guy who is never understood for the rest of the society, because of his extraordinary intellect is expressed in the way who talks; on the other hand, Sheldon is more relaxed and easy going; for both, it is difficult to get along and have a good relationship with women. Sheldon and Leonard have two friends more, Rajesh, an Indian who can’t talk to women, and Howard, who lives with his mother.
The problem of getting along with women come up when a blond beautiful waitress move in front of their apartment. Penny is not interested in physics as her neighbours; by the way she is just a “normal” woman who enjoys parties.
Overall, this sitcom is widely recommended as an excellent option whenever you are looking for fun or just to spend time in front of a screen.
This days there are so few good sitcom on television that a rarely watch it anymore. But I never miss “Friends” this show is one of the best shows ever, is extremely funny and is one of my favorite series. The show started off funny, but after 10 years of run it became extremely popular.
The show tells the story about, six friends: Joey tribbiani (Matt Leblanc), Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), (Ross Geller), (Phoebe Buffay), Monica Geller (Courtney Cox), Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) making their lives in Manhattan and show their problems with jobs, friends and relationships.
All characters are interesting and unique. The viewer surely will find one to identify with. Some are better and will have more fans (Joey) but all characters are good and are a necessity to the show if only to serve as a ladder (Ross).
The jokes are nicely done and almost none of them has offensive material. So it´s a show that can be watched by persons of all age.
This is the perfect show for you if you love to laugh.
My favorite TV show is “desperate housewives “,that program is very entertaining and funny, there are 5 seasons about it.
Wisteria Lane is the place where live these women. One of them is Susan Meyer, she is the spy of the street she always gets into a problem for peek through her curtains but she is the most fun. Susan has a daughter that she married and doesn’t live with her and also has a son but his father is Mike Delfino. Mike was the Susan’s husband but in this moment they are divorced. Lynette Scavo is the perfect mother she is married to Tom Scavo and they have 4 children, she can survive cancer but can do it keep up her house full of kids. Bree is the woman who wants to have everything perfect, she cleans all the time and cooks very well and does a book of how to cook. Gabrielle Solis is a model and she is very interested she only wants be a rich; she is married with Carlos Solis and they have two daughters. And Katherine Mayfair is the friend of all them, now the Mike’s girlfriend.
In this moment the 5th season that’s over, but in several months I can see the 6th. This TV show is very interesting for the drama but sometimes is very funny. All of the seasons have something that don’t let it seen.

My favorite TV program is "Grey's Anatomy". This serie is about 5 interns, later become residents, that work at Seattle Grace Hospital.
The main characters are the interns Meredith Grey, George O'Malley, Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens and Alex Karev. But the doctors play also an important role, especially Derek Shepard (Meredith's boyfriend).
The story tells all the problems at the hospital, not only with the patients but also in the personal life of the doctors. It can be described as a drama serie but it has romance too. There are 5 seasons of the show and season 6th just started on september 24th, and every episode has a name from a song.
I totally recommend this show and cannot wait to see the 1st episode of the new season.
