I believe that it is a racist comment for the Mexican people. The people of England should be sorry with the Mexican People. The workest people is from Mexico and the most beatiful woman. :)
Definitely, that comment was of people who don`t really know about Mexican people. Is true that we have so many defects, but anyone have the rigth to judge another people. Of course, we need a public apology, that will not repair the damage but at least, personally, I will Feel better.
I Think t’s a great insult to any country that their culture were ridiculed. I think any person has no right to offend someone, Mexican or not. It’s incredible that these guys enjoy making fun of an entire nation and most serious of a diplomat, even knowing that they are public figures. This behavior shows the responsibility that they have to handle information.
I think these people really do not know Mexico and so do these comments, ohter thing, I believe the Mexican government should do something to preven further humiliating on the Mexican people.
I think the Europeans were very harsh with his comments about Mexicans, but I feel that if they think that about us is that we have earned that kind of labels over time and we have not actually done anything that makes change the concept of us. Maybe I'm not included in that definition as well as many other Mexicans, but Mexicans see as something individual group and not Judging from what we are together. Commentators do not like to make about my country and ourselves, but we do nothing to improve and change those perceptions.
I don't agree with that kind of comments to Mexicans because we're equal to everyone else and i don't want them to tell us bad things because we respect them. And this attitude to us, shows a poor mind becasue they don't acept the diversity. And they don't see that the rest of us can make fun of them or tell bad things about them. I actually think, they should consider too the great things of us like our culture.
I think we're making a lot of trouble. Ok, I deplore the racist script used on this programme, because those comments were not polite, but instead of wasting our time on things like these, we must worry by what is happening in our country.
I think the way of saying things was not the correct, but those comments are partly our fault. The last week I listened on the radio: "The 75% of the mexicans thinks that we should to take them as constructive criticism and the other one 25 %as insult". I also heard that the comment was just a joke, because that is the mood of the British!
In my opinion, the Mexican ambassador made the best decision when demand to apologize of BBC for the insulting comments of the program “Top Gear”. I disagree only in the form that Mexican journalists enlarge the situation, and get down to inflame public feelings.
I think this program is really bored. We know that it not worth seeing this program because is just watch people speaking about nothing. My advice is ignore this class of program and continue with our life.
I think that this persons said about the mexican car was a racist comment. Because a car does not describe a person, and those persons who said that, they do not have an idea about who are the mexican people. In Mexico live people that work hard everyday to support their families and that is one of the main reasons that Mexico is not a lazy country.
This is a really ofensive and racist coment about the mexican people. I ask to the british a public apology. The mexican people has shown in many special ocassions that they can be the number one of the world like the Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete , Sub 20 hockey championship, Chicharito, etc. It`s not fair that the people tell a bad coments about mexicans, we ask respect.
There´s one thing we cannot deny, we have earned those comments throughout the time because unfortunately mexicans who have represented us have commited terrible mistakes.Mistakes that have been extended to all of us. I think it is fair to express your opinions as long as you don´t generalize and you recognize that as well as flaws mexicans have some great qualities too. There was no need of rudeness or humilliation. They could have found some other news that would create controversy but without insulting an entire nation.
Its obvious that these kind of comparisons are terrible, but most terrible are the people who make those comments. As Mexican I can be sure that all of these are not true.
The only thing that we gain is to disturb our behavior, and it is not nice for us because this way they (commentators) achieve their purpose “create controversy”.
We need to know that these type of problems are created with the aiming of making polemic.
I desagre with them because they can't say that all the mexican people are as they say. Amazing and smart people are mexican too. In my opinion they are being racism.
I don't like this kind people that has think that Mexican aren't workers. Definitely that comment was off place. I think that the BBC should give a great apology and they should are regret. But I think that some Mexican tell racist jokes about other cultures. Anyway they should never had said that.
